The Family of God (New Testament) – Small Group Lessons (Digital Download)
Overview
These 21 New Testament lessons focus on the family of God, building on what students have learned from the Family of God Old Testament curriculum. Kindergarteners through 5th graders will continue to learn that God is the perfect Father who calls, adopts, and grows His family. They will see His plan to rescue and dwell with His children fulfilled in Jesus' birth, death, resurrection, and return. These lessons continuously point children to Jesus, with the hope that they will know, love, trust, and obey Him.
This curriculum is designed to be taught during the spring semester, spanning from the new year through the end of May. Biblical events are presented chronologically with Big Truths that build progressively. The Small Group (SGL) and Large Group (LGL) lessons are designed to be taught together as a single, comprehensive lesson.

Description
Family of God Small Group Lessons are complete lesson plans that include opening activities, a portion of the lesson focused on fun, welcoming activities that introduce the concepts or story of the lesson. Small group lessons are designed to follow the Large Group Teaching Lessons. In Small Group, children will review the lesson through small group questions and engaging activities that reach all learning styles. In Apply, children will see how the Big Truth found in the lesson applies to their lives today. Lastly, lead children through the 5 types of prayer at the end of each lesson to help children learn that God wants to talk with us. The Small Group lessons include supply lists.
